We had a lovely Saint David's day.
We took our usual trip to the nursery to fill our house with daffodils and enjoyed seeing hundreds of naturalized ones that seem to pop up in all the surrounding farm fields.
The kids read up about St. David and colored some icons. A trip to the co-op for leeks also scored us some Welsh cheese! We love all those little country flags our store sticks in the cheese case- hard to miss a big red dragon!
We rounded up the day with some tasty leek soup and leek and potato pasties.
We are still grain free at home but break the rule for the occasional b-day or saints day.
The kids though it was funny that we used a gluten free French croissant recipe to make the crust for a Welsh pasty.
