Iddy's Photo Project- part 2!

A flyer at our local craft store offered a "make your own steam punk frame" class.
Well what crafty, Jules Verne loving, historical photo taking, airship captain's pants wearing, 11 yr old girl could pass that up?

She attended in full airship regalia and had a great time.

Mama Time...

With all the big kids off to camp, I had time (for the first time!) alone with Valentine.
I forgot what that wonderful intense one on one toddler time can be like.
It was delightful and dh an I are brainstorming ways to have more of it.

Orthodox Camp!

We have been blessed to have some fellow parishoners with a lot of property, a lot of patience, and a lot of love...they hosted a camp for the kids this week.

Iddy Biddy and Ferdinand were able to camp ovenight in tents (Ferdinand's first sleep over!).
Blue Eyes enjoyed day camping and Valentine had a blast at the family BBQ on the final day.

CSA day!

We are lucky enough to live in walking distance of a lovely CSA farm run by some fellow parishoners.
The young couple is re-habing a wonderful old farm and and provides us with a choice of chicken, eggs,  lamb, pork, beef and honey every week.

This week the kids enjoyed climbing the old overgrown plum trees for an impromptu snack and as always tossed windfall apples to the pigs. They are ever hopeful that a baby pig will wander out of the pen but have yet to catch one. Iddy is always a little tearful about the piglets but enjoys her weekly bacon none-the less.
