St George sword craft.

Poor Monkey Man had a big warrior birthday planned last month.
A terrible stomach virus put a stop to that so we saved all the craft projects for today.
Here is the duct tape sword we made.

All you need is colored duct tape and paint sticks. Just think Gladius not Longsword!

You might want to pad them first with a bit of felt under the tape if you are worried about bruised knuckles.

Basically just : Rip Tape, Wrap Tape, Fight!

No full moon but full planters...

Well the usual Coffeeland cloud coverage kept us from seeing the full frog moon but at least our new hanging planter was full tonight with lovely spring pansies, it is so cheerful against the cloudy skies.

Holy Thursday foot washing...

We read the gospel passage about Christ washing the feet of the disciples this morning. And then as in the past we took turns -Iddy washing Monkey Man's and so on down... As usual by the time we got to Daddy at the very end the water was ice cold and the kids managed to soak his work clothes this year too!

We were so happy to have a new pair of feet to wash! Blue Eyes was very excited to be big enough to help and declared that Valentine's feet were "stinky!"

The kiddo's spent the afternoon listening to 2 story cd's of Exodus by Jim Weiss and Rabbit Ears Radio
and playing Holy Week file folder games from CatholicMom
