Corpus Christi

After Mass on Corpus Christi Monkey was rooting around in our home atrium "where is the censer?"
Ummm...
We rustled some gold spray paint a cord and a plastic wiffle ball- voila!
He stuffed it with mint leaves picked out of the porch garden and spent a half hour perfecting his swing.
The whole house smelled of mint. Much nicer than the cheapo inscense at the parish. ;)

His "vestements" are a polar fleece rectangle a cord and a mini-stole he received at his baptism.

After incensing the whole house he asked "where is the monstrance?"

Ummmm....where was that spray paint? I think the dc did a fine job but it is too big for our "tabernacle" oops.

Froggy went a countin'

We couldn't pass on these tiny little frogs- they made perfect little math counters for spring.

Geography Matching

I have suddenly discovered scrapbook paper!
We have been making all kinds of projects with from our Marian May Day Baskets to these little memory cards of the fifty states- a fine little matching game for about a $1.45. each little square has State names animals capitals and flowers.

Best of all I set out the paper and scissor and stickers on trays on the learning shelves and the kids made the game themselves. ;)

SEW FUN!

We have been doing a lot of handwork this May.
Blue Eyes likes the apple lacing block.

Monkey enjoys the wonderful buttoning idea we got from Montessori Mama

And Iddy Biddy has been sending off embroidered hankies to all the God Mothers and Grandmothers.

Crazy May

To the Grandparents bragging about their weather-Our May was a beautiful sunny 75 for less than a week.
Then the snow came- In May!! Then it shot up to a 102!
2 more weeks of cloudy and cold and now on the last day of May its settled in to nice pollen laden breezy 75.

The Grandparents who wanted to know if the Monkey is riding his trike...well sometimes but he prefers getting a lift.
He and his buddy tied the trikes to the dump trucks with jumpropes-
